Welcome to the website of Magasin de l’Abbaye, property of the Cistercian monks of Val Notre-Dame Abbey at Saint-Jean-de-Matha. The community of Val Notre-Dame marks the continuation of the Cistercian Abbey of Notre-Dame du Lac which was situated at Oka (province of Quebec, Canada) from 1881 to 2009. Magasin de l’Abbaye is the main source of revenue for the abbey; you will find there the different products made by the monks: chocolate, fruit cake, date cake, caramel, peanut butter, almond butter, hazelnut butter and soap. The store also carries products from other Canadian monasteries and those from the region of Lanaudière where the abbey is situated.You can buy the products on-line and the connection is very secure.
